The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) is responsible for governing the recruitment of personnel into the state’s public service and is a department of the government of Tamil Nadu. The commission was formed as the Madras Service Commission in 1929 and was the first provincial Public Service Commission in India. In 1970, it adopted its current name.
The main function of the commission is to advise the Government on all matters relating to framing of recruitment rules, principles to be followed in making appointments and promotions and transfers from one service to another service, in respect of disciplinary matters affecting government servants and to conduct examinations for selection of candidates under direct recruitment to the State, Subordinate and Ministerial Services.
TNPSC Admit Card 2016 For VAO Exam
Recently, TNPSC has released a notification for recruitment of Village Administrative Officer in the Tamil Nadu Ministerial Service. Online application date is already closed. As this is the government job, large numbers of aspirants from Tamil Nadu state have applied for the VAO posts. As of now, the commission has activated the link of Application Print and Application Status from which candidates can check their application status and if they don’t have the print of application form, they can also print it from the official portal. The TNPSC VAO Exam 2016 will be conducted on 28-02-2016 and will have two papers. The selection will be made on the basis of marks obtained in the written examination and following the rule of reservation of appointments.
